The occasion of Guru Poornima was observed with intense faith and devotion. Sangat devotees who had come from India and abroad offered their faith at the feet of Shri Guru Ram Rai Ji Maharaj and memorized the glory of the God. On this blessed occasion, Sajjade Gaddinashin of Shri Drabar Sahib, Shri Mahant Devendra Ji Maharaj offered special prayers and explained the theme of Guru’s teachings to the Sangat devotees. He gave his spiritual sight (Drashan) to the Sangat devotees and showered his divine blessings over them.
On Thursday, Sajjade Gaddinashin of Shri Darbar Sahib, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj offered special prayers. Sangat devotees who had come from India and abroad offered prayers (ardas) and bowed down at Shri Jhande Ji (the holy flag pole). Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj remembered Shri Guru Ram Rai Ji Maharaj in particular. In his address to the gathering, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj remembered Brahmleen Shri Mahant Indiresh Charan Das Ji Maharaj with utmost faith and recalled the determination to follow the path shown by him. He said that Guru is the real path shower who takes rid of darkness of ignorance and spreads the holy light of knowledge.
Over this occasion, Sangat devotees who had arrived from far off offered prayers (ardas) and bowed down at Shri Jhande Ji (the holy flag pole). In the whole premises of Shri Darbar Sahib, a blessed combination of devotion and majesty was seen.
Shri Maharaj Ji said that this is the blessed occasion of Guru Poornima which is the occasion of meditation, self introspection, memorizing the teachings of Guru. He said that the teachings of Guru lead to attainment of spiritual and moral heights.
After the programme special holy food (Langar Prasad) was arranged in a majestic manner which was taken by devotees and they also earned a noble deed.
